The best way to learn how to sail is on a small boat. Students start with the basics on a capsize-able 16ft dinghy. This includes steering, sail trim, knots, right of way rules, crew overboard and terminology. As students advance through more advanced classes our US Sailing Certified coaches will guide students through increasingly challenging maneuvers and techniques. This class offers a great mix of physical and mental exercise. Students should expect to swim and be prepared to intentionally capsize (flip over) the boat early in the course.
